Women’s Month: Sumaya in the spotlight
As we celebrate Women’s Month, it’s a great reminder of how important women in our industry are. At RentWorks, we appreciate the valuable and growing role women play within our business.
Many women have found a fulfilling career path in our business, but there is always a drive to ensure our female workforce is empowered and set up to succeed.
One of the ways to do this is acknowledge and show appreciation for the inspirational women within our company. Such as our very own Sales Manager, Sumaya Rahim.
For Women’s Month, we’ve decided to get to know the woman behind the title a bit more and shine a spotlight on what makes this trailblazer tick.
Sumaya Rahim
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love the outdoors and being active. I enjoy running and hiking. Not only is it a great stress reliever, but it also contributes to a healthy and better me.
What do colleagues say is your best quality?
Optimism and positive approach to business as well as my interactions with colleagues and customers.
What is one important every salesperson should have?
Self-motivation. The ability to boost yourself especially when you lose deals.
How do you prefer to start your day?
My daily ritual includes a 5 km run, my green juice and once I get to the office, I plan my day by making a priority list of tasks to tackle.
What is the best thing about your job?
There are many aspects of my job that I love. Good relationships with my colleagues, customers, suppliers etc. are very important to me. However, I thrive most when I can close a deal and, in the process, ensure customer satisfaction.
