Kuben Rayan
Chief Executive Officer
One of the highlights of Kuben’s over 30 years’ experience in Asset-Based Finance was helping to launch IBM Global Finance in South Africa. His combination of financial services and IT industry experience mean he is ideally placed to strengthen and grow the RentWorks brand.
Kuben holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in addition to a B.Com from UNISA.
Vimal Patel
Chief Financial Officer
With over 20 years in leadership roles in the auditing, banking, construction, engineering, manufacturing and mining industries, Vimal plays a stewardship role with our customers: helping to guide businesses towards enhanced growth.
Vimal holds both a B.Com and Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
Jane Cartwright
Chief Operations Officer
Jane has 30 years’ experience across the leasing and healthcare insurance sectors, during which she has consistently and successfully advocated for change. Her reputation for achieving corporate transformation is built upon successfully implementing re-engineering strategies and optimising systems and business processes.
As Chief Operations Officer for the holding company of RentWorks, Jane oversees our operational and residual risk management.
Kuben Rayan

Kuben has 29 years’ experience in Asset Based Finance and formed part of the team that launched IBM Global Finance in South Africa. He has diversified experience in both the financial services and the IT industry, as well as a comprehensive educational and training foundation. Kuben joined RentWorks in 2005 and is a valuable asset to the brand. In terms of his educational background, he holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, which includes a distinction on his final dissertation titled Financial Leverage and Firm Value. Kuben also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Africa.
Vimal Patel
Chief Financial Officer
Vimal has over 20 years of leadership and growth experience in the auditing, banking, construction, engineering, manufacturing and mining industries, particularly in corporate finance, treasury management, capital structure and strategic debt advisory. One of his key values is to focus on stewardship – to leave a legacy by steering a business towards impressive growth. Vimal holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants(SAICA).
Jane Cartwright
Chief Operations Officer
Jane has experience across the entire business cycle and over 30 years’ worth of experience in both the leasing industry and healthcare insurance field. She has a track record in advocating for change, implementing re-engineering strategies, optimising systems and business processes, and aims to use her expertise to propel RentWorks to the next level. Currently, Jane serves as Chief Operations Director for the holding company of RentWorks, as well as other operating entities. In this role, Jane has a good understanding of all the facets of the business and is active in managing all operational and residual risk aspects of the company.
